I received this email today after a session with one of my devotees and thought I would post it here as a very good example of post session feedback. In this case, it lets me know that the lessons I am striving to teach this person are indeed sinking in. 
Feedback like this also lets me know that you appreciate my time and attentions. If you are someone that I only see once in a great while, this also helps me gage what part of the session made the most impact (so to speak) – which is of great use to me when I see you again in 6 months and can barely remember what we did – let alone what REALLY worked.

I never doubt or question for a moment who’s the boss in our relationship. You’re the pro with a public persona. I’m the one who has to keep a secret. You’re the one with the play space, bondage cuffs, whips, canes & etc. You’re the one who decides when, how and even who is going to use them on me. You have all the power in our interaction. You’re my disciplinarian and I have no say in what you decide for me.
Be assured I will strive to obey your wishes and maintain a cheerful deameanor whether we’re alone or you bring your associates in for special reasons.
I do appreciate your time, attention and guidance. You’ve definitely moved me toward better behavior and moderation.

Ahh! How sweet! I will dig around and see what other thank you’s or post session feedback notes I can find to share as examples.
