Portland is one of the most kinky cities in the world according to travel experts Fodor and sexuality experts Feeld. More specifically, Portland and Seattle have the most tops, bottoms, switches, and submissives. Mistress Viola and I sell out FemDom Bootcamp every single month. We host a monthly FemDom Social that continues to grow. Private rentals at Sub Rosa, and especially our overnight rentals are increasingly popular. And at every class, and rental, and interaction I have, people ask for references to kink shops, local events, classes, where to meet other people.

PDX Kink Week has entered the chat…
PDX Kink Week is my love letter to Portland. It’s a way for me to reconnect to my favorite city after the pandemic. PDX Kink Week is a full week celebrating all of the sexy, dark, creative, weird, kinky things Portland has to offer. A way for us all to support the small businesses in a city we love through some tough times. A way for us all to connect with each other at a time when we may feel really disconnected from humanity – through the lens of kink.
So far, the reception has been amazing. SheBop, Versatile Corsets, Legally Bound, Fantasy, The Gay Barn, Jupiter Hotel, Can Can’s Paris Theater, Ritual Arts Tattoo, Black Lily Consulting, Motorbunny, and event a private donor for stepping up to support our vision. Kink Events
At this point nearly every evening of Kink Week has multiple events. From Mistress Viola’s RESURRECTION of 50 Shades of STFU (It’s Easter Week so I’ll be giving motorBUNNY rides), to a Kinky Strip Club Takeover, and an Aftercare Spa Day at Hawks. A Time for Social Connection
The part of PDX Kink Week that I’m personally most excited about are the socials. Small intimate gatherings where kinksters can connect over both kinky interests as well as vanilla. I feel like we are entering a time where social intimacy is a becoming more and more treasured.
For a while it was great that we could connect with like minded strangers over pretty much ANY interest on the internet. I am still great friends with people who I mean through Twitter back when Twitter was fun. I would have never met these people if it wasn’t for social media. But fast forward 15 years, a pandemic, and an influx of AI, and I see people being more and more drawn to connecting in person.
Part of PDX Kink Week is giving people a way to host socials and connect with others on everything from latex to being a kinky parent. I will be attempting to take over Can Can and live my dream of a vintage house of burlesque packed full of kinky queeros watching burlesque. There will be an ACE social, a FemDom Social, and Versatile Corsets will be opening their stunning space to a pop up shop featuring other local kinky makers. More socials will be added over the next couple weeks. I’m hoping to see a karaoke social, a ‘zine making social, and more socials taking place in small businesses across Portland.
